Feather is the new development board from Adafruit, and like its namesake it is thin, light, and lets you fly!

Adafruit designed Feather to be a new standard for portable microcontroller cores. This is the Feather 32u4 Basic Proto, it has a bunch of prototyping space built right in.

The six-channel Micro Maestro raises the performance bar for serial servo controllers with features such as a native USB interface and internal scripting control. Whether you want high-performance servo control (0.25 μs resolution with built-in speed and acceleration control) or a general I/O controller (e.g. to interface with a sensor or ESC via your USB port), this tiny, versatile device will deliver.

Header pins are included but not soldered into this partial kit version (all surface-mount components are soldered).

This powerful synchronous switching step-down (or buck) regulator takes an input voltage of up to 50 V and efficiently reduces it to 9 V. The board measures only 1″ × 1″ yet delivers typical maximum continuous output currents between 2.7 A and 7 A, depending on the input voltage, which makes it well suited for powering moderate to large loads. An optional enable input with a precise cutoff threshold can be used to put the regulator in a low-power state with a current draw of 10 µA to 20 µA per volt on VIN. The regulator also features reverse voltage protection and a power-good output that indicates when the regulator cannot adequately maintain the output voltage.

This discrete MOSFET H-bridge motor driver enables bidirectional control of one high-power DC brushed motor. The small 1.3″ × 0.8″ board supports a wide 6.5 V to 30 V voltage range and is efficient enough to deliver a continuous 17 A without a heat sink. Additional features of this second-generation (G2) driver include reverse-voltage protection along with basic current sensing and current limiting functionality.

The A-Star 32U4 Mini LV is a programmable module based on the ATmega32U4 from Microchip (formerly Atmel). Unlike competing products, it has an on-board switching step-up/step-down regulator that allows it to be powered efficiently from a 2.7 V to 11.8 V supply. This compact 1.9″ × 0.7″ board breaks out all 26 of the microcontroller’s I/O pins (of which 7 can be used as PWM outputs and 12 as analog inputs), and loading programs is made easier by a Micro-USB interface and a preloaded Arduino-compatible bootloader.
